About
I'm a technology executive who never left the keyboard. For 20+ years I've led global engineering, product innovation, and enterprise infrastructure across eCommerce, manufacturing, energy, rail, and AI — operating in a CIO and CTO capacity with hands-on architectural depth.
I'm at my best where worlds collide: connecting enterprise networks to plant-floor telemetry, standing up standalone infrastructure under a separation deadline, or scaling AI inferencing without blowing the budget. I build systems that are scalable, secure, supportable, and ready for the real, industrial world.

Signature impact
Lower product cost from a laser illumination system I conceived and invented for high-speed rail imaging, which also improved image quality, speed capability, and reliability. Lead inventor, U.S. Patent Application No. 19/545,297 (patent pending).

Aggregate read throughput, alongside 140 GB/s aggregate write, achieved across multiple acquisition and processing hosts at the same time. The storage was architected into 12U of rack for ML image processing on rail inspection portals.

Owned the standalone enterprise infrastructure roadmap post-separation — identity, network, security, virtualization, endpoint management, monitoring, remote access, and industrial connectivity for distributed power generation. Rolled out enterprise GenAI tooling — Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise — tied to identity and access control, and managed a mixed macOS/Windows/Linux endpoint fleet via Apple Business Manager, Intune, and NinjaRMM.

Led the IT/OT integration of APR and Duos, then designed and executed APR's full infrastructure separation — enterprise services, routing, access controls, and monitoring — with operational continuity intact, while directly leading SOC 2 / ISO 27001-aligned control readiness.

Set the R&D vision for rail inspection, AI, and intelligent monitoring platforms while also serving as VP of Information Technology. Led DevOps, enterprise IT, AI/ML, and hardware-software teams, at one point 17 people across IT, development, and AI with concurrent authority over $10M+ in budgets. Lead inventor of the patent-pending laser illumination system; designed and implemented 12 trackside edge data centers, specifying their power and cooling; architected portal storage in 12U that reached 200 GB/s aggregate read and 140 GB/s aggregate write; and led TV360, an AI vision platform detecting mechanical flaws on trains passing through a 360° high-speed camera portal.

Built IronPing, a native iOS app taken concept-to-delivery; the Web Demo Engine, an AI pipeline that finds businesses with weak web presences and auto-builds demo sites to drive outreach; and Sebastian, an autonomous AI assistant handling Tier 1-2 IT support, real phone calls, and day-to-day scheduling and coordination.

Managed 14 people across service desk, network engineering, project management, and field service. Rebuilt SLAs and integrated KPI reporting — raising response rates 70%→97%, resolution 67%→95%, and utilization 44%→87% in under six months. Led a standardized rollout of PCs, network, and security services across 170 Brightway Insurance franchise facilities.

Managed an eight-person help desk on a budget of roughly $900K a year. Authored the corporate SLA still in use at departure and wrote a .NET self-service tool for end-user issue resolution, lifting customer satisfaction from 46% to 98% and overcoming staffing shortages with a 150% workforce-utilization gain.

Directed regional IT across a 200+ site footprint with four field technicians and a $1.2M annual operating budget, personally handling about 90% of the administration and engineering across VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Exchange, and the TRUX ERP. Built early industrial OT capability — engineered custom remote compactor control and safety hardware, satellite/cellular connectivity for remote transfer stations, and telemetry for a landfill methane-to-power turbine and recycling-plant sorting systems. Consolidated ISP, cellular, and copier services ($518K savings) and scaled Citrix/VMware infrastructure from 300 to 900 users via physical-to-virtual conversion ($436K reduction).
